Crowland Town’s impressive start to the ChromaSport PDFL Division One season continued with a remarkable 7-5 victory on Saturday.
Sub Corbhan Oldham helped himself to a hat-trick as Crowland defeated Kings Cliffe in a 12-goal thriller at Snowden Field.
Harry Grigas (2), Stephen Wells and Peter Fox also netted for the hosts, as they made it eight wins from 11 league games to stay second in the table.
Also impressing in Division One were Moulton Harrox Reserves, who defeated FC Peterborough 4-0 at Broad Lane.
Ashley Wilson led the way with a hat-trick, with Tom Panton getting the other goal.
Sutton Bridge United and Spalding Town continue to struggle at the bottom, however.
Bridge are 15th after being thrashed 5-0 at Wittering Harriers, while Town are the only team below them after going down 4-0 at Whittlesey Reserves.
Up in the Premier Division, Holbeach United Reserves took the derby spoils as they defeated Tydd 4-1 at Carter’s Park.
Josh Balding, Tom Coote, Callum Simmonds and Joe Millinson netted for the Tigers, while Lewis Day replied for Tydd.
Long Sutton Athletic’s upturn in form continued with a 3-0 win at Leverington Sports, as Niall Burton (2) and Jake Lally shared the goals.
In Division Two, Long Sutton Athletic Reserves were on red-hot form as they thrashed Ketton Reserves 11-0.
Mark Garner (4), Lewis Machin (3), Brandon England (2), Thomas Leader and Keegan Thorpe all netted at London Road.
Division Two side Crowland Town Reserves were also in action, but lost 2-1 at Warboys Town in the Junior Cup.
Holbeach Sports lost 3-0 at Parkside in the same competition, while Tydd Reserves lost 5-3 at home against Whittlesey A despite goals from Grant Thompson (2) and Ryan Ingle.
In the Minor Cup, Holbeach Bank lost 9-2 at home against The Limetree and Long Sutton A won 3-0 at Kings Cliffe Reserves.
