PDFL round-up: Moulton Harrox’s surprisingly slow start continues at Wittering

It’s now three defeats from five games for Moulton Harrox in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division after they slipped up 2-1 at Wittering Premiair on Saturday.

A Josh Ford strike couldn’t stop Harrox from suffering their latest loss, with Andrew Moss and Jack Travers scoring to send the hosts top of the table.

Moulton also lost 2-1 at home against Holbeach United Reserves last Wednesday, with Joe Townsend’s strike eclipsed by goals from Jordan Keeble (penalty) and Kyle Compton.

Elsewhere in the top flight on Saturday, Crowland Town were 2-0 winners over Oakham United as Jordan Kirchin and Sam Leggatt netted in the first half at Snowden Field, while Long Sutton Athletic drew 2-2 at home against Stamford Belvedere.

Crowland also drew 3-3 with Netherton last Wednesday with Leggatt and Matt Smith amongst the scorers, while Sutton lost 2-0 at home to Leverington.

In Division One on Saturday, Robbie Cundy scored twice as Moulton Harrox Reserves won 4-1 at Eunice Huntingdon and Tydd beat Cardea 2-1 thanks to Luke Gooding and Alan Burch.

But Pinchbeck Reserves went down 6-2 at home against PNS Reserves and Crowland Reserves suffered a 7-1 reverse at Ramsey Town.

In Division Two, Long Sutton Reserves picked up a very respectable 2-2 draw at Polonia.

Down in Division Three, Tydd Reserves romped to a 3-1 success at Park Farm Pumas.

Elsewhere, Sutton Bridge beat Parkside Reserves 5-1 in Division Four with Patrick Jones, Mark Garner, Ben Partridge and Kurt Scott all scoring.
