PDFL round-up: Keeble hits winner as Tigers Reserves get the better of Lions

Holbeach United Reserves got back to winning ways in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division on Saturday with a battling 1-0 win over basement side Stamford Lions.

It was striker Jordan Keeble who grabbed the only goal for the Tigers, who end a run of four defeats on the bounce and sit sixth in the table.

Staying in the top tier, Crowland Town were edged out 1-0 by an Oakham United side who are managed by ex-Holbeach boss Seb Hayes.

In Division One, Tydd’s winning ways continued as they defeated South Holland rivals Crowland Town Reserves 2-1 at Snowden Field.

First-half goals from Ewan McCracken and Matt Eaton gave the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead.

Mantas Paskevicius pulled one back with eight minutes to go, but Crowland couldn’t find an equaliser.

There was a thriller at Broad Lane, but Moulton Harrox Reserves ended up on the receiving end of a 4-3 reverse against FC Peterborough.

Boston Cash, Robbie Cundy and Matt Rose grabbed the goals for Moulton, but a treble from Braudilio De Pina Rodrigues and a Domingos Vaz Ferreira Sanha strike gave the visitors the points.

Also beaten were Pinchbeck United Reserves, who went down 4-2 at Ramsey Town. Ryan Stanberry netted twice for the Knights.

In DIvision Two, Holbeach United Sports drew 1-1 at home against Glinton and Northborough.

Glen Wells netted the goal for Sports, who are eighth in the table.

It was a tricky day for Tydd Reserves in Division Three, as they were thrashed 6-0 at FC Peterborough Reserves.

In Division Five A, Pinchbeck United A’s home game with Nene Park Feeder was postponed.

Likewise, Holbeach Bank saw their trip to Sawtry Reserves postponed with the morning conditions very cold indeed.
