Free-scoring Matt Eaton notched four times in Sutton Bridge United’s 7-4 win at Oundle Town on Saturday.
Kurt Scott (2) and Jake Lally also bagged in the ChromaSport PDFL Division One clash, which moves Bridge back up to third in the table.
Elsewhere on a day of many postponements, Division Two side Crowland Town Reserves crashed out of the Intermediate Shield with a 5-1 home loss to Stanground Sports Reserves.
In Division Three, Sutton Bridge Reserves bagged their second league win of the season as they saw off Stanground Sports A 2-1.
It was a day to forget for Division Four leaders Holbeach Bank, who were crushed 7-1 at Cardea despite Jamie Cooper’s consolation goal.
Long Sutton Reserves were also battered 6-1 at Feeder, with Michael Palmer their scorer.
But Whaplode Drove were 3-0 home winners over FC Peterborough Reserves thanks to goals from Dan Firth, Harry Grigas and Joe Strickland.
In Division Five, goals from Dan Bergin and Scott Burrell earned Holbeach United A a 2-2 draw at Orton Rangers. The Tigers are now fourth.
