Paul dives into fundraising

The chairman of South Holland District Council reached new heights in his fundraising efforts.

Coun Paul Redgate is looking to raise money for the charity MIND during his year in office and is looking to do at least one event a month to raise money and awareness for the organisation.

The most recent was a skydive at Sibson Airfield done with Rhonda Booth, Deborah Wright and Samantha Bradley from South Holland District Council’s Democratic Services team.

It raised over £2,000 and takes the fundraising for MIND so far to £6,800.

“It was the first time we’d all done it,” Coun Redgate said. “It was a great feeling.”

The next fundraiser is a charity quiz night at The Elizabethan Centre in Whaplode Drove on Thursday, November 10.

Tickets are £10 and include a sausage and mash supper.

Doors open at 6.30pm with food served from 7.30pm and the quiz from 8.30pm.

Anyone wishing to purchase tickets can do so by ringing Samantha Bradley on 01775 764694 or email [email protected]
