Party to mark 25th anniversary of fund

Volunteers were invited to an afternoon tea party to celebrate a charity’s 25th birthday.

The Crowland Cancer Fund committee organised the event as a thank you to all those who have helped in the charity’s shop and warehouse, past and present.
A special “thank you” card was presented to each volunteer.
Secretary Libby Jackson said: “During our 25 years we have risen from modest beginnings to the organisation you see today and in the process have raised a total of in excess of £630,000, which has been distributed to benefit cancer sufferers and their families in Crowland.
“However, without the help of our volunteers and those who donate goods and those who buy them we would not be able to do what we do.
“So a big thank you to everyone who contributes to our success.
“If you think you might like to join our happy band please contact the shop or warehouse to discuss this.”
