Parkrun remembers Hayden

Tribute was paid to regular Snowden Field Parkrun participant Hayden Grooby on Saturday.

A minute’s silence was held in memory of the regular top-ten runner, well known for sometimes running in denim shorts.

First home was Peterborough & Nene Valley AC’s Ryan Anderson, in 19 minutes, four seconds.

Simon Eldridge was the first Harmer Harrier to cross the line, 14th in 24:46. Also running for the Spalding-based club was Deb Norman, 44th 31:12, and Adam Caress, who shepherded home the tail-enders in 72nd place, 53:18.

Four Harriers were at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough. Isaac Gibbons 123rd 24:55, Jayne Pell, 575th 37:17; Kathryn Chapman, 588th 38:35; and Marie Sampson, 637th 43:47.
