Palumbo holds his nerve to seal Cliff Hall Memorial Shield glory for Pyradon

Pyradon edged out Tulips 3-2 on the final black of a thrilling final to win the Cliff Hall Memorial Shield at Donington on Friday night.

The Pyradon team of James Sharpe, Alfonso Palumbo, Jason Green, Tom Pickering, Spencer Dawkins and Neil Reynolds were deserving winners, with Palumbo holding his nerve to win the final frame.

The final was incredibly exciting for all of those in attendance, with Jean and Jim Thompson once again doing an excellent job of hosting the tournament.

All eyes on the South Holland snooker scene now turn to tonight’s (Thursday) opening night of Spalding and District Snooker League action.
