Packed calendar of events for town

A group that puts events on in Holbeach is underway with an action packed year of dates for the calendar.

Holbeach First says its Easter Duck Hunt was a huge success with over 350 entries on the day.

“The event brought together families from across the area, creating a fantastic atmosphere filled with fun, excitement, and plenty of happy faces,” a spokesman for the group of volunteers said. “Organisers have already confirmed the event will return next year, even bigger and better.”

Among the events coming up for Holbeach First is one of the numerous yard sales being organised, the next one being on May 10.

Preparations are underway for the Craft and Family Fun Day at All Saints’ Church, taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, as part of the Holbeach Flower Festival.

Running from 11am to 4pm, the day will showcase beautiful flower arrangements, alongside a wide range of craft stalls, face painting, food vendors, cakes, sweet treats, ice cream, and doughnuts and tombolas.

There will also be inflatable entertainment while Holbeach Town Band will be performing.

The summer calendar continues with Motor Mania Car Show at Fen Field on July 5.

Organisers say planning is also in its final stages for this year’s Community Ball on November 14 which has the theme ‘A Night at the Casino’.

Rounding off the year will be the much-anticipated traditional Christmas Fayre on December 19.

A spokesman said: “Holbeach Community First would like to thank everyone for their continued support –these events simply wouldn’t be possible without the community behind them.”
