Over 60s club toasts jubilee

Members at Spalding Over 60s club toasted The Queen last week.

The re-formed group, which previously met at Pode Hole, is now based at Spalding Bowls Club.

And its latest meeting was the closest to the jubilee, so they enjoyed a special party.

Pavanotti, aka Jeff Woods, provided the entertainment while Trisha Stafford served up a scrumptious tea.

Joan Mitchell and Margaret Campbell organise the sessions which are the third Wednesday of every month.

“It was a lovely day,” said Joan. “The food was excellent and Pavanotti brilliant.”
