Original Factory Shop one of two Spalding premises to announce closures

The Original Factory Shop is to close its Spalding premises just over two years since it opened in part of the former Beale’s Department Store.

It’s one of two town centre stores to announce it is closing this week.

Signs announcing the closure of the Original Factory Shop were put up today (Tuesday).

Employees at the store confirmed the closure but said they were unable to answer any other questions.

It opened in March 2023 as one of two shops to take up the site previously owned by Beale’s Department Store.

The Voice has approached The Original Factory Store for more information.

It comes as Becca’s Ice Cream Parlour and Pudding Hut on Holland Market also announced it is to close.

On Facebook the store put: “Unfortunately we have made the hard decision to close down.

“We’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work over the years and all the customers who supported our small business.”
