Organised walk in Spalding for mental health awareness

Spalding resident Mark Le Sage has organised a mental health awareness walk on Friday, July 3, in conjunction with the NHS Walking For Health Group.

The walk in Ayscoughfee Gardens, Churchgate, Spalding will last between 30 minutes and an hour and begins at 11am.

Mark knows the value of mental health, having been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) following an incident while working at HMP Gartree in 2005.

He said: “It culminated in three staff being retired, two on light duties and one officer committing suicide.”
