One ‘last ride’ for ‘amazing’ Tristan

A host of motorcyclists are to ride through Spalding this Friday to mark the ‘final ride’ of a 24-year-old killed in a road crash.

Tristan Exton died at the scene after his blue Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on Spalding Road near Deeping St James on April 1.
An inquest into his death was opened on April 29.
For his funeral this Friday (May 10) friends have organised the motorbike parade starting at 11.15am from Ashley Maure, near to where the collision occurred, to the South Lincolnshire Crematorium at midday.
Tristan’s mum Tracy described her son as ‘amazing’ and said anyone with a motorcycle is invited to join in the tribute to him.
“From a young age Tristan has always loved his motorbikes,” Tracy said. “As soon as he was old enough he was always on his 125.
“He was a member of a few motorbike clubs and a lot of his friends were motorcyclists.
“It’s going to be amazing seeing them all coming out for his last ride.”
Tristan grew up in Spalding and was living in Deeping St James at the time of the collision. He worked in Oundle in Northamptonshire and was an uncle to three.
After Friday’s funeral Tracy has vowed to campaign for better awareness from motorists towards those riding motorcycles.
“Tristan was amazing,” she continued. “He was my best friend and he was the glue that held the family together.
“The angels have got one of the good ones.”
Lincolnshire Police have appealed to anyone who may have information on the incident or have dashcam footage to come forward.
They should email [email protected] or call 01522 212316 quoting incident 269 of April 1.
