Olympic hero Crista puts on masterclass for Long Sutton Hockey Club’s young talents

Former England hockey international Crista Cullen put Long Sutton Hockey Club’s young guns through their paces on Saturday.

Cullen, who was also part of the Great Britain team which won bronze at the London 2012 Olympics, junior masterclass session at the Peele Leisure Centre.

Some 41 youngsters attended the session, which was followed by a question and answer period in the clubhouse.

Cullen, who retired from international duty after the London games with 171 caps, was named in the International Hockey federation World Star XI back in 2006.

She was also named Great Britain Hockey Athlete of the Year in 2006.

The Boston native brought her Olympic medal with her for all to see and was a massive hit with everyone at Sutton.
