PGA professional Alex Oldham completed a 100-hole golfing marathon challenge at Sutton Bridge Golf Club to raise money for Prostate Cancer and the British Heart Foundation.
He did it as some of his close friends have undergone struggles over the last few years and thought there was no better way to acknowledge their recoveries than with a golf endurance test.
A fantastic total of £1,750 was raised from online donations and collections on the day from members of the club.
Oldham said: “The score was not record breaking but charity was the winner. I treated every shot like I would in a tournament but on this testing layout, you’re only one poor shot from a high score. It really is a tough, yet great and unique course.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me on the day, particularly my brilliant caddies and the donations and, of course, Sutton Bridge Golf Club for their friendship and encouragement.”
