Number of vehicles damaged in Gosberton Risegate fire

A total of 14 vehicles were damaged following a fire at a Gosberton Risegate coal merchants last night (Wednesday, August 1).

Fire crews from Spalding, Donington and Kirton were called to Station Road shortly after 7pm.

In the incident, five cars and two vans were seriously damaged, two cars and a van suffered moderate damage and two cars, one van and a lorry were lightly damaged.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “The incident happened at a coal merchants yard and there are no reports of injuries.

“The cause is undetermined and there are no plans to carry out further inspections.”
