This month, three stars of BBC Radio 2 come to Spalding, including an award-winning band and two popular presenters.
Today (Thursday, November 2), BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners The Young-Uns play the South Holland Centre as part of the BBC Children In Need: Song For Lincolnshire awards.
Entry is free, the night starts at 7pm and will feature performances from the finalists.
Tomorrow (Friday), BBC Radio 2 veteran DJ Johnnie Walker brings his The Boat That Rocked show to the South Holland Centre.
One of the only Pirate Radio DJs still on the airwaves, Johnnie’s show is a fascinating look at one of the cultural turning-points in Britain’s history as we approach the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love.
Walker now presents Sounds of the ‘70s on BBC Radio 2.

Looking ahead, on Saturday, November 11, BBC Radio 2 presenter and award-winning jazz singer Clare Teal brings her Mini Big Band to the South Holland Centre to sing the songs of Ella Fitzgerald.
This year marks Fitzgerald’s centenary.
As well as being a celebrated singer, Clare presents the BBC Radio 2 jazz, swing and big bands show.
