Northern Soul nights to be a hit at Spalding pub

Northern Soul nights are to become a regular feature at The Hole In The Wall pub in Spalding.

Landlord Dave Higgins and his partner Caroline Melville were keen to establish the music style made famous in the 1960s when they took over recently.
They launched Spalding Soul Club and attracted 60 members in its first ten days. The £3 membership guarantees entry to event nights at the pub and discounts on club products.

And after a refurbishment of pub’s dance floor and adding some wall displays, the first big night is ready for launch next week. DJ Twink, of Wigan Casino fame, will be spinning Northern Soul and Tamla Motown vinyl from 8pm on Friday, November 6.

The pub also has local acts Zebra, Sarah O’Brien and One For The Road playing before Christmas.
Dave said: “We’re going to make The Hole In The Wall the premier music venue in Spalding.”
