Nominate your clubs for award

While we’re stuck in our own homes, now is as good a time as any to recognise those who over recent months and years have been helping you take part in the sports you love.

Nominations remain open for the Pride of South Holland Awards.

And organisers are particularly looking for entries to the Community Sports Group category.

This award is for a community group that has shown excellence in sport taking time to provide and organise friendly competitive activities and team work bringing together people of different abilities from across the community to get active and enjoy sport.

The award is sponsored by councillor Harry Drury, who said: “I cannot stress enough the importance of these groups and I actively encourage anyone who is part of or knows of a sports group in South Holland to nominate them and give them the recognition they deserve for the often thankless tiring hours they put in to play a part in supporting their community.”

The awards are due to be held in June at the South Holland Centre in Spalding, but nominations will carry over to a later date if needed.

For more information on the event you can contact 07779 895388 or email [email protected] with your nominations.
