No change at the top across all three snooker divisions

It’s as you were at the top of all three divisions in the Spalding and District Snooker League.

Pyramid C are still leading in Division One, although a 4-2 loss to club mates Pyramid D has narrowed the gap at the top to 12 points.

Spencer Dawkins (o63) and George Neary-Phillips (o21) got the leaders off to a good start, but the D team hit back thanks to Peter Sharpe-Grose (r7), Reegan Cooke-Holmes (o21) and Marcus Hamilton (o35).

At the top of Division Two Holbeach B extended their lead to eight points with a 5-1 win over Gosberton D.
Barry Haynes (o21), Garry Cooke (o21), Charlie Mullane (r28) and Neil Harvey (o21) got the wins for Holbeach.

Holbeach G are holding on to the lead at the top of Division Three, despite a 4-2 loss to second-placed Boundary B.

Boundary’s winners were Rich Wilson (o14), Paul Spittlehouse (o63) and Dougy Lythgoe (o14).

Ben Harding (o42) and John Dawson (o21) got the points for Holbeach.
Elsewhere in Division One, Consti H jumped a place to second, thanks to a 5-1 win over lowly Holbeach C.
Terry West (r14) got the solitary point for bottom-of-the-table Holbeach.

There was no change for Pyramid F, Boundary A, Holbeach D and Consti G, who remain in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh places respectively.

Pyramid F beat Donington C 4-2. Wins in that one came from Pete Hodgson-Kerry (o21), Ian Gibson (r7) and Mark Gray (o98).

Boundary A took on Holbeach D and a 4-2 result in favour of Holbeach has left both teams sitting on 50 points mid-table.

Consti G got the better of Services C, beating them 4-2.

The win moved Services up one place to eighth.

Consti E got a good 5-1 win over Services A. Wins came courtesy of Sean Jeynes (o14), Jason Bates (o77), Simon Law (scr) and James Kingston (o35).

Down at the bottom of the table, Gosberton A and Services D have swapped places after a 4-2 win for Gosberton.

Adam Twigg (o7) got a black ball win to start Gosberton off well, before Paul Wright (o7) and Jamie Mumby (o28) took the next two to seal the win for Gosberton. Ian Smith (r7) and Russ Morse (scr) got the consolation points for Services.

In Division Two, Holbeach E jumped four places to second, thanks to a 5-1 win over bottom-placed Whittlesey C.

Their winners were Richard Parkes (o14), Ethan Lawrence (r7) twice and James Crampton (o21).

Holbeach A have dropped two places after a shock 6-0 whitewash by club mates Holbeach F.

Mark Woodberry (o56) knocked in a 43 break but it wasn’t enough to get the better of Susan Lefley (r28).

David Lefley (r28), Dan Mayfield (o21), James Quinton (o14) and Alex Bourne (o21) completed the rout.

Donington A dropped a place to 12th after a 5-1 loss at home to Pyramid B.

Phil Cooke (r7), Gary Cooke (r7), Dennis Pearson (o7) and Roy Jackson (r14) were the winners for Pyramid, while Nigel Brasier (o28) claimed the single point for Donington.

Pyramid E took on friendly foe Pyramid A, with the E team walking away 4-2 winners.

Tenth-place Whittlesey A got the better of Consti F, who are fourth, beating them 4-2.

Wins came from Malc Bruce (scr), Jason Clarke (scr) and Steve Jennings (o28).

Down in Division Three, Gosberton B jumped two places to third after beating Whittlesey B 5-1.

Warren Driver (r14), Mark Howlett (o7), Merv Pattinson (r21) and Simon Slinger (scr) got the wins for Gosberton, while Pawel Skutela (r14) was the sole victor for Whittlesey.

Consti B dropped two places to fourth, after losing 4-2 to clubmates Consti C.

John Christian (r7) got the B team off to good start beating John Walker (r28), before Terry George (r14), Steve

Crane (r7) and Mark Craig (r14) hit back, taking the next three frames.

John Keeton (o14) won the fifth to give the B team a second point.

In another Consti battle, it was the D team who came out on top, beating the A team 4-2.

Martin Perkins (o28), Geoff Ellingworth (r21) and Tom Digby (r7) got the wins for the D team.

Wayne Wilding (o14) and Nigel Steadman (scr) won for the A team.

It was a good week for Consti I, who beat Donington D 5-1.

John Bellerby (r14) won the first frame for Consti, before Pat Taylor (r14) made it all square.

It was downhill for Donington from there on though, as Consti’s David Twelves (o7), Richard Geddes (r28) and Pete Stokes (r21) won the next three respectively.

Donington B faired better, beating Consti J 5-1.

Donington’s winners were Gavin Lewis (o14), Paul Stewart (r7), Phil Burrell (scr) and Mick Clark (r21).
Stewart Davies (o7) won the final frame to give Consti a point.
