While Pyramid C are six points clear at the top of Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League, it’s much tighter in the other two divisions.
Pyramid C have won eight of the nine matches they’ve played and on Thursday night they beat Donington C 4-2, taking them six points clear of second placed Holbeach D.
Their winners were Richard Skellett (o21), Dave Pearson (o14) and Jason Green (o56).
Holbeach D climbed a place after beating Gosberton A 5-1.
Gosberton started off well with Paul Wright (o14) taking the first frame from Denis Hix (r7).
However it was downhill from there, with Andy Spearman (scr), Paul Daw (o28), Wayne Fobelets (o21) and Don Monk (o21) winning the next four for Holbeach.
Pyramid F dropped a place to third, after going down 5-1 to Services C.
Geoff Hemsil (r21), Kev Fitter (o14), Mark Spiller (o14) and Nigel Cherry (o7) got the wins for Services, while Oliver Player (o28) got the single point for Pyramid.
Consti H moved up two places to fourth as they beat Consti E 5-1.
Adam Mayman (o28), Olly Turner (o14), John Houldershaw (r14) and Doug Garfoot (o28) were the winners for the H team.
Jack Chilvers (o28) was the winner for Consti E, getting the better of Mark German (o28) in a frame that went down to the black.
Consti E are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table, having only one win from nine matches.
Boundary A went to Pyramid D and came away with a 4-2 win thanks to Dan Smith (o28), John Tidswell (o21) and Elliott Cox (r7).
In a bottom-of-the-table clash it was Services D who came out on top, beating Holbeach C 4-2.
Services’ winners were Paul Spicer (o21), Alan Day (r21) and Ian Smith (r7). Spicer knocked in a 45 break on his way to victory over Nick Edwards (r14).
Consti G dropped two places after losing 5-1 to Services A.
Vince Fitter (o42), Martin Spencer (o28), Chris Dunmore (o42) and Jake Haslam (o14) were the winners for Services.
Fitter got a 44 break during his frame.
In Division Two, Pyramid A have moved into first place thanks to a 4-2 win over clubmates Pyramid A.
Holbeach A are now in second after they beat Services B 4-2.
Services B got off to a good start with wins from Jason Rose (o28) and Andy Neal (r7) but Holbeach hit back, taking the next three thanks to Mark Woodberry (o56), Stuart Atkin (o42) and Mat Smith (o28).
Holbeach B have dropped to third as their match with Pyramid was postponed.
Whittlesey C took on clubmates Whittlesey A, with the A team taking the spoils 5-1.
Winners were Malc Bruce (scr), Andy Blythe (o14), Steve Jennings (o35) and Graeme Sawyer (o14).
Paul Cook (o21) got the solitary point for the C team.
Holbeach E whitewashed Donington A 6-0, moving them up two places to seventh.
The winning team consisted James Crampton (o14), Richard Parkes (o7), Rob Coaten (r14), Ethan Lawrence (r14) and Chris O Leary (o21).
Holbeach F remain in eighth, despite beating Gosberton D 4-2.
Dan Mayfield (o28) beat James Parrott (r7) in the first frame, before Neil Simmons (o14) levelled the score, getting the better of David Lefley (r28).
Lynn Simmons (r14) then beat Susan Lefley (r28) to put Gosberton ahead.
However James Quinton (014) and Alex Bourne (o21) won the next two frames respectively to give Holbeach the win.
In Division Three, Consti B have taken the top spot thanks to a 4-2 win over Boundary B.
Holbeach G have moved up two places into second after beating Donington B 4-2.
Donington took the first two frames thanks to brothers Pete (o7) and Phil Burrell (r7), before Holbeach won the next three and the match courtesy of John Dawson (o21), Ian Woodberry (r7) and Stuart Sullivan (o28).
Consti D had a free week, which means they have dropped three places to fourth.
Consti I played Gosberton B away and came away with a 4-2 victory.
Jonathan Smith (r14), John Bellerby (r14) and Pete Stokes (r14) were the winners.
Whittlesey B got the better of Gosberton C, beating them 5-1.
Andy (r14), Kay (r28), John (o7) and Pawel Skutela (r14) were the winners for Whittlesey.
The only loser was Kerry Skutela (r28), who was beaten by Stuart Tamplin (r7).
Donington D have risen one place after beating Consti J 5-1.
Winners were Dan Sawdy (scr), Paul Whyte (r7), Pat Taylor (r14) and Alan Stanley (r7), while Les Andrew (r7) got the only win for Consti.
