Nine looking to be crowned Spalding Flower Parade queen

This year’s hopefuls to the be the queen of the Spalding Flower Parade have been announced.

Nine contenders on the shortlist, one of which will lead the parade on May 10 alongside the also to be chosen deputy.
The crowning ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 26 at Springfields after a panel of independent judges interviews the candidates amid an evening of entertainment.
Jeff Woods (aka Pavanotti) will compere the event with live music coming from Mullered At The Mill.
Guests are encouraged to dress to impress and add a touch of glamour. Tickets are £15 plus a booking fee, and can be purchased from Eventbrite by searching Flower Parade Queen and Deputy Election Night.
This year’s event kicks off on Friday, May 9 as part of a special tribute music weekend.
Abba Orbit will take the stage at the Springfields Events Centre from 7pm with Madness tribute Badness on at 9pm. Entry is free, though donations to the parade are encouraged.
The traditional parade starts the following day at 11am. It will start and end at Springfields and head to the largely same route as previous two years by heading down Roman Bank.
Festivities will continue at Springfields with a Taylor Swift tribute at 3pm and a flypast by by The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
