Nichola’s fantastic 100 for mum

A laundry keeper has completed her goal to run for over 100 miles in the month of May for Breast Cancer Now.

Nichola Baxter was inspired to take on the challenge due to her mum Diane Turner’s battle with the condition and having seen residents at the Cedar Falls care home she works at with the disease.

She finished her walk a few days early but continued with her daily hikes to fulfil her promise to walk every day during the month of May.

In total she raised a whopping £683 to go towards breast cancer research.

In addition, to raising money for the charity, Nichola spends a good deal of her free time supporting her son’s football team (Holbeach under 13s) to keep the players supplied in kit, most recently she raised £250 at Easter.

Nichola intends to keep supporting her mum and others by raising money for breast cancer research and has a few ideas up her sleeve, but she is open to suggestions.

Nichola said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me, my friends and family for being amazing and helping me achieve this.”
