Newton is poles apart for winning memorial haul

Feeder was expected to dominate at Holbeach & District Angling Club’s John Ivatt Memorial match.
However, the Sharps Bridge site saw Chris Newton prevail with a 9lb 4oz haul of roach and skimmers from peg five, all on the pole.
Joint second were Jason Thrower and Roger Smith, both with with 6lb 12oz catches.
Mr Ivatt’s grandson Tom presented the trophy to the winner.
