New school to hold information event

An information evening on a new school for children deemed challenging or who have been excluded is being held this month.

Springwell Alternative Academy Spalding was due to open at the former Post 16 Centre in Matmore Gate in September 2018.

After delays it’s now open, but the current hope is for it to finally move in to Spalding from current temporary premises in January 2020.

An event to provide more information for nearby residents is taking place at Spalding High School on July 18 from 5pm to 7pm.

A spokesman said: “Join us for our information evening where you are invited to ask questions about the pending move to the community of Spalding.”
