New pizza place for town

Plans for a new pizza restaurant in Spalding have taken a step forward with an application for new signs.

Fireaway Pizza is moving into the former Norwich and Peterborough building society branch in Sheepmarket.
The new restaurant will have a small seating area at the front and a refurbished flat on the first floor.
Fireaway Pizza has a branch in Peterborough and prides itself of speed of delivery – boasting around a three-minute turn around.
It was founded in 2016 and now has more than 150 branches around the country.
The proposed opening hours are 11am to 11pm seven days a week.
The building is in a Conservation area and has been Grade II listed since 1950.
The scheme ‘will not detract from the overall aesthetics of the locale,’ says the application.
