Spalding Lions gathered in a member’s garden for a barbecue to say a huge thank you to their outgoing president Elaine Mothers and hail the beginning of Lion Vice President Richard Briers time leading the club.
After Elaine had presented the president’s collar to Richard, he presented her with the Past President badge.
Afterwards, Elaine said: “Thank you to all the members for their support, making it a very memorable year. I am very sad to be giving up the presidency but know that with Richard the club is in good hands.”
Richard added: “I have never known Spalding Lions to have such a successful year, which was all due to Elaine’s leadership and commitment to the club.
“I hope i will be able to match her triumphant year myself”.
