New electoral constituency proposed

South Holland is proposed to consist of the majority of the new South Lincolnshire Electorial Constituency amid a review into electoral boundaries.

The new constituency, which would come into effect from 2023, is largely the same as the current South Holland and the Deepings constituency, but many of the Deepings towns including Market Deeping will be split up into other constituencies.

Deeping St Nicholas, the only Deepings town in South Holland, would be in the new South Lincolnshire Constituency.

That would also encompass portion of Boston Borough north of Donington including Sutterton, Fosdyke and Swineshead.

The Boundary Commission for England has drawn up the new boundaries.

Members of the public are encouraged to visit www.bcereviews.org.uk to view maps showing the proposed new boundaries and provide feedback before the consultation closes on August 2.
