New Christmas event for street

The Crescent in Spalding will be the centre of a new Christmas event for the town next month.

On Friday, December 6, the road will be closed to traffic between 5pm and 7pm, with the street full of stalls and street food vendors.
The shops will be opening late and there will be musical entertainment including a performance by the Spalding Community Choir.
Santa will also be popping in to Bookmark handing out free gifts and drinks.
It’s all being put on by the Spalding Town Forum with the chair of South Holland District Council Andrew Woolf.
“I am very excited for the Spalding Crescent Christmas event, and I predict it will be a memorable evening,” he said. “It is a perfect opportunity to spend time with friends and family in your local town, supporting local businesses as we enter the Christmas season.
“I highly encourage members of the public to mark the event in their calendars and join us for an evening for joy and festive fun!”
