Spalding’s new primary school is on schedule to open at the start of the next academic year.

Wygate Park Academy, which is part of The Boston Witham Academies Federation, is being built by Holbeach firm Langwith Construction under a £2.5m contract.

Lincolnshire County Council says completion and handover is due to take place on Friday, August 22.

Langwith Construction managing director Alan Melton said: “It will be delivered on time and on budget.
“We’ve used several local sub-contractors and I’m particularly pleased with the skills and tenacity of our site manager Martin Davies.
“The work has been carried out to everybody’s satisfaction and the customer is happy.
“It’s been a very rewarding project and we’ll hand it over with a great deal of pride.”
