Spalding Town were soundly beaten by hosts Lincoln Lindum on Saturday in a quite remarkable Lincs ECB Premier League match.
Will Wright smashed 108 and Karanjit Bansal added 96 in Lidum’s imposing 266-6, but Warren Nel (4-57) did take a hat-trick with three wickets off the final three balls of the innings.
In reply, Thivanka Rajaratne (36 off 27 balls) top scored as Rob Ambrose’s side were bowled out for just 165 in reply. Amazingly, there was another hat-trick as Ryan Sneddon took Town’s final three wickets to seal Lindum’s triumph.
More cricket to follow.
