National counties cup glory for Spalding men

Players from Spalding Hockey Club represented Lincolnshire Hockey and emerged victorious in the England Hockey Men’s County Championships in Nottingham at the weekend.
A 4-1 victory against Shropshire in the B competition final secured the silverware for the county.
Lincolnshire had already beaten the Welsh border county 4-0 in the group games, as well as seeing off the challenges of Durham and University of Nottingham before beating Leicestershire 3-1 in the semi-final.
