Police are still appealing for anyone with information regarding the murders of Liz and Katie Edwards in Dawson Avenue, Spalding, to come forward.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between noon on Wednesday, April 13 and noon on Friday.
DCI Martin Holvey, of EMSOU Major Crime, who is leading the enquiry, said: “I would like to thank the people of Spalding for their support and the assistance they have given to our officers.
“However, we still need to know as much as possible about Liz and Katie so reiterate our appeal to anyone with information to speak to local officers or call us on 101, quoting incident 163 of 15th April.”
The pair have now been formally identified following Home Office post mortems.
DCI Holvey also reminded people about the law surrounding the identification of young people involved in court proceedings.
The two 14-year-olds who have been charged with Liz and Katie Edwards’ murders cannot legally be identified because of their age, and the rules apply to the public as well as the press.
He said: “People must not post information on social media which could lead to identification. Anyone identifying the two youths could risk being in contempt of court, which is a very serious offence.”
