Mum’s tyre Minions bring a big smile to passers-by

A frog and a couple of Minions have been raising a smile after taking up residence outside a Spalding home.
Mum Charmaine Hall has put hours of work and creativity into creating the painted tyre works of art, which have created quite a stir.
Charmaine, who lives in Mallard Close, said: “Pictures of the Minions were put on the Spotted: Spalding Facebook page and I have had loads of positive comments about them.
“I was a little bit worried about the reaction they were going to get, but a lot of my neighbours have commented on them and said how much their children like to see them.”
Charmaine was inspired to get creative by a smiliar tyre frog she spotted in Moulton.
She said: “I just loved it and decided to have a go myself.
“I contacted Central Tyres and asked if I could have some free tyres and they were happy to help.
“Then I saw some tyre Minions on Pinterest and thought I just had to do it.”
Charmaine had a bit of help from friendly staff at the Spalding’s B&Q store to mix the right yellow and blue paints, as well as find the right plants to give the Minions their black hair.
She added: “I love gardening and this was just a bit of fun to brighten up the street.”
