Residents at St John’s Care Home celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday with a special Mother’s Day lunch and afternoon tea complete with Bucks Fizz and cakes.
The lunch table was decorated with handmade personal messages created by the care staff at the home.
And thanks to the measures put in place at the home, some residents were able to see their loved ones for the first time in months.
“We had some emotional reunions last week,” said home manager Jolene Anderson.
“It was wonderful to see our residents reunited with loved ones. This has been a difficult time for all our families, the return of visitors to our home will bring a much-needed boost to well-being”.
