MP’s support for those with diabetes

MP Sir John Hayes has been meeting people with and learning about diabetes.

After the ‘Diabetes is Serious’ event raised this matter in the House of Commons to urge the Secretary of State for Health to back Diabetes UK plan for a comprehensive strategy to deal with long-standing, and recent Covid-induced, problems with diabetes services.

He said: “Many people live with type 1 diabetes and cope with that condition, many more are affected by type 2 diabetes.

“Given that so many are affected, we must do more to help those living with diabetes.”
