MP shows support for Holocaust memories

MP John Hayes said remembering the Holocaust “matters now and will forever” as he signed a book honouring those who died.

Signing the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment pledged his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day.

The book also honours the survivors of the horrors of the Holocaust who worked tirelessly to educate young people about what they witnessed and endured.

Mr Hayes said: “Remembering the devastating consequences of anti-Semitism matters now and will forever.

“Holocaust Memorial Day marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau – and it is an important opportunity to remember the victims and survivors of the Holocaust and make sure they are not forgotten.”
