Moulton’s Earth on fire

Moulton Harrox and Crowland Town are in hot pursuit of reigning champions Uppingham Town at the top of the early-season GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League Premier Division table.
Crowland chalked up a fifth straight win with a 4-2 midweek triumph at Deeping Rangers Reserves and sit third, just a point adrift of Uppingham but with two games in hand.
Their goals were shared by Harry Grigas, Lee Jackson, Archie Rickards and Mathew Smith.
Moulton were 4-1 victors at Wittering Premiair and are ahead of Crowland on goal difference from one game more. Declan Earth led the way with a hat-trick, to go with a goal from Louis Steadman.
At the other end of the table, Tydd’s 5-0 defeat at home to Warboys Town leaves them still looking for their first point after six games.
Holbeach United Reserves were in cup action but went out 4-1 at Stanground Sports, where Kieron McConnell’s 25th-minute strike proved to be only a consolation effort.
Sutton Bridge United maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Two with a 5-2 win against Stamford Belvedere Reserves.
Moulton Reserves also boast a perfect record in Division Four after a 4-1 win at Hampton Reserves.
