Moulton looking ahead to 2024

Following a solid 2023 season, with record academy numbers, the introduction of competitive women’s cricket and a third-place finish for the first team, Moulton Harrox are already looking forward to next season.
Roger Grant has stepped down as chairman after more than a decade in the post but will remain as treasurer.
Taking over as chairman is Dipan Suwarneraj, who brings a wealth of knowledge and sits on the board for Lincolnshire County Cricket Club.
Chris Beale has stepped down as first XI captain but has committed to remain as a player. Taking over the captaincy is Mark Ramsden, who makes the step up from the second team. First team vice-captain is Josh Newton, who completed a record breaking 2023 season, finishing as the league’s top run scorer.
The second XI will be captained by Rob Callaby, with Danny Jackson his vice-captain.
The Sunday XI will be captained by Harry Lovell, supported by Australian Jamie Kitchen, returning to the club for his second stint.
The academy will again be led by Andy Cranke, with support from Ian Smith and a team of coaches, focusing on bringing through talented youngsters, while laying the foundation for those at the start of their journey. The club will also be hosting Dynamos and All Stars cricket for the first time.
The ladies team will be run by Sarah Hooker, with support from the academy and senior cricket teams.
Chairman Suwarneraj thanked Karl Hibbert, who is stepping down as groundsman.
