Moulton Harrox aiming to snatch cricket title

Moulton Harrox have given themselves a great chance of snatching the South Lincs & Border League Championship title at the death on Saturday.
A fourth straight win last weekend edged Harrox to within 12 points of leaders Newborough, who finished their season with a heavy seven-wicket defeat at third-placed Skegness.
Harrox can take the league title with victory at one-from-bottom Woodhall Spa 2nd.
However, it’s no given as the home side will be fighting to preserve their Championship status.
Harrox won at Ketton after being asked to bowl and dismissing the home side for 176 runs inside 43 overs.
Just three wickets were lost as Harrox surpassed the target for a vital 20 points.
Long Sutton will certainly be hoping that Harrox can get the job done too because it could well ensure their own Championship survival.
A five-wicket defeat at Sleaford 2nd leaves Sutton a nervy finish to the campaign at home to bottom Bourne 2nd, who have an outside chance of escaping the drop.
Tim Norris made 77 as Sutton posted a shaky 145 all out. Sleaford were given a revised target of 125 from 33 overs and achieved it with just three balls to spare, Norris and Josh Baker each taking two wickets.
In Division One, Moulton Harrox 2nd will finish the season in the relegation zone.
A six-wicket defeat at Market Deeping 2nd left Harrox doomed to the drop, just seven days after a win in the reverse fixture had given Rob Callaby’s side hope.
So the pressure is off third-from-bottom Long Sutton 2nd, who had a miserable time at home to Ancaster, for whom Joe Attewell made 105. Asked to chase 238/4, Sutton could only muster 121 and were dismissed inside 35 overs.
Charith Harshana (22) and Phil Barnes (20) were the only batsmen to offer much resistance.
