Motors on show for Mania event

The sun shone brightly for fans of a Motormania weekend in South Holland.

A parade of cars and bikes went through Holbeach and Fleet on Saturday afternoon when around 30 vehicles took to the roads to promote Sunday’s event.

Cars and motorcycles from a bygone era were at their gleaming best for the show which was held at the Lawns and Lakes campsite in Fleet.
There were prizes for the best in show, a VW Beetle, the best classic was a Mini van and best modified vehicle was a Mini.
“There were well over 300 vehicles on display and lots of other things for visitors to enjoy throughout the day,” said Isobel Hutchinson, of organisers Holbeach Community First.
Initial plans are already being laid for next year’s event.
“We would like to thank all our volunteers who did a brilliant job of stewarding on the day, and the air cadets for managing the visitor parking for us,” she said.
“We are now recuperating from a busy weekend and will be starting to plan next year’s event in the coming months,” added Isobel.
