More than £2,000 for cancer charity

A group of around 60 senior golfers took part in the Tydd St Giles Seniors’ Prostate Cancer stableford charity day, an individual stableford competition.
Organiser Toby North thanked all for taking part in the competition and was pleased to announce more than £2,000 had been raised on the day, which is a record amount raised by Tydd seniors.
He also thanked to Delia Sewell, who organised the halfway house, supplying refreshments to the weary golfers.
Results: 1st Paul Chaplain-Barton 43 points, 2nd Salvatore DiBella 42 points, 3rd (ocb) Alec Harding 41 points 4th David Worrall 41 points,
Men’s Gold Medal final – 1st Andrew Lynn 86-24=62, 2nd Darrall Pacey 84-17=67, 3rd (ocb) Terry Pease 88-20=68, 4th Ethan Turner 83-15=68.
Ladies’ The Hope Hooper Trophy competition – 1st Chris Young with 36 points, 2nd Penny Wicks with 34 points, 3rd (ocb) Julie Perry 34 points.
