Holbeach United’s poor form continued on Wednesday night as they crashed out of the Lincs FA Senior Trophy.
Just days after being dumped out of the ChromaSport UCL Knockout Cup, struggling Boston Town effectively ended the Tigers’ hopes of silverware with a 3-2 victory.
First-half goals from Richard Ford and Michael Hardy put Boston 2-0 up at the break.
Tommy Treacher (60) and Josh Ford (81) did net to haul Holbeach level at 2-2, but Jordan Nuttell’s late winner gave the hosts a place in the semi-finals.
It’s now five defeats on the bounce for Seb Hayes’ side, who visit high-flying Eynesbury Rovers on Saturday (3pm).
