Miserable weekend for Long Sutton CC

It was a disappointing weekend for Long Sutton as both XIs and Sunday side lost.

On Saturday the 1st XI lost to Sleaford 2nd for whom Kurt Colyn scored 106 in their 278-8.

Rajan Singh (40) and Barry Stanway (40) top scored for Sutton who were 173 all out.

The 2nd XI slumped to 65 all out in 19.1 overs against Grantham 3rd.

Andrew Wright scored 23 and the total was boosted by 27 extras including 17 wides.

Andy Shaw (1-11) and Beth Milnes (1-31) struck but Grantham completed an eight wicket win in the 13th over.

It was a similar story for the 3rds who were bowled out for 82 by Whittlesey who won by eight wickets.
