Mick and Sue land Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Winter League crown

Mick Vassall and Sue Racey are the winners of Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Mixed Winter League final.

The Greensomes competition is run over six consecutive months (October to March), with Vassall and Racey beating Petra Meir and Tim Martin to the crown.

Nearest the pin at the final were: Fourth hole – Maria Taylor-Vassall; Eighth hole – David Worrall; 11th hole – Mick Vassall.

Competition organiser Maria Taylor-Vassall thanked all for taking part and said she would welcome more members taking part in the mixed winter league, which has now been running for the last two years.

Men’s section: March Stableford Pairs: 1st Keith Griffiths & Brendon Docking 49pts; 2nd Vinny Day & James Hale-Smith 46pts; 3rd James Neve & John Gamble 44pts (ocb).

Seniors’ section: Easter Bunny Stableford competition: 1st Gary Brown 39pts; 2nd John Gamble 38pts; 3rd Lee Newman 36pts (ocb); 4th Ian Millett 36pts.
