Megan sets a new high jump personal best at Scunthorpe finale

Two South Holland athletes impressed for Boston and District Athletics Club in the final Humberside League match of the season at Scunthorpe on Saturday.

Despite the windy conditions, Megan Reid produced a new personal best high jump as she cleared 1.30m for the first time.

This was a timely improvement for Reid in view of her selection to compete for Lincolnshire in the event at the annual under-13 and under-15 inter-county match at Hull next Saturday.

She also recorded 17.19m in the discus competition.

At under-11 girls’ level, team-mate Issy Reid cleared 3.01m in long jump and achieved a distance of 16.43m in the vortex throw.
