Meet team from Flower Parade

The organisers behind the Spalding Flower Parade need your help, and they’re putting on a special event so you can meet them.

Members of the Spalding Flower Parade Community Interest Company, which has been formed to run the event, will be at the United Reformed Church on Pinchbeck Road from 2pm to 7pm on Friday, January 24.
A spokesman for the parade said: “Come and meet the Spalding Flower Parade committee members and some of our wonderful volunteers and support team to learn more about what we do throughout the year to fundraise for the parade, then pop along and join us for a chat and a cuppa.
“You don’t have to come on your own! Come as a family, friends, work colleagues or whoever you fancy. We can guarantee you will always have a good time and lots of laughter.
“Here at Spalding Flower Parade we have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available throughout the year.
“Whether you’re able to spare an hour or two, a few times a year, or you keep on coming, we’d love to meet you.”
Among the roles that need filling are:
* Arena Stewards
* Car parking attendants
* Charity collectors
* Crowd ambassadors
* Float builders/decorators
* Flower pickers
* Fundraiser ambassadors
* Leaflet distributed
* Parade marshals
* Road closure marshals
* Site clearance operators
* Stage assistants
* Visitor experience ambassadors
