Marking International Women’s Day

South Holland groups teamed up to hand out flowers in the district last week to mark International Women’s Day.

Ella’s Project, Community Mind Matters and members of the Lithuanian Community were at various places in the district providing blooms to strangers in the area.
Mark Le Sage, who set up Ella’s Project, provided some to those working at the Nat West branch in Spalding who are busy collecting Easter eggs as part of the charity’s bid to provide them to those who might miss out this year.
You can still donate at the branch in the run up to Easter.
He said: “Ella’s Project are very grateful for all the support they have had over the years from the local community because without it we couldn’t carry out our vital work in the district.”

Vaida Kelmoniene said: “We thank everyone who got involved in this project. Volunteers, supporters and organisers – you’re the best.

“The day was accomplished with a fantastic turnout and we are looking forward to next years event which will be even bigger!”
