Marching back for Flower Parade

A band that’s led Spalding parades for a number of years is to return for next year’s Flower Parade.

The Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps (RDTC) is one of the oldest independent youth marching bands in the country.

It has played across the world but is set to return to Spalding when the Flower Parade is due to return in May.

“We have over 35 elements in the parade already including numerous local groups and companies,” said chief organiser Steve Timewell.

“What excites me most however is the line up of bands and entertainers we have.

“Much to the delight of many local people, the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps will lead the parade.

“The famous band led the parade many years ago, every year.”
