Marathon effort for team

A group of charity walkers raised more than three times their target with an event for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The four friends signed up to walk a marathon distance of 26.2 miles and they managed it in eight hours.
The four mums, Lucy Day, Sarah Storey, Katie Lacey and Hayley Hammond met when their sons joined primary school.
They initially aimed for £1,000, but achieved £3,448 for the charity.
The route took them from Cromer, in Norfolk, around the coast to Holkham – with a few blisters as a result.
“The day was lovely and full of sunshine,” said Hayley.
